On 30 August 2023, H.E. Mr. José Agostinho da Costa Belo Pereira, the Chairman of the Election National Commission Timor-Leste (CNE), paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Ittiporn Boonpracong, the Chairman of the Election Commission, at the ECT Office in Bangkok. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss their mutual interest in cooperation regarding Human Resource and Institutional Capacity Development between the two Electoral Management Bodies and to explore opportunities for establishing a close partnership between CNE and ECT. The delegation from CNE also visited the Democratic Education Center as a role model for the establishment of a Democracy Center in Timor-Leste. Both sides affirmed their dedication to fostering collaboration and cooperation, which will further strengthen friendship in the times ahead.
