On December 2023, H.E. Mr. Mohammed Abdul Hye, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Ittiporn Boonpracong, the Chairman of the Election Commission, at the ECT Office in Bangkok. The main purpose of the meeting was to invite the ECT Chairman to observe the 2024 Bangladeshi general election. In reciprocity, the ECT Chairman extended an invitation for the Bangladesh Election Commission to participate in the observation of the 2024 Senate Selection in Thailand. This exchange marks a significant step toward fostering international cooperation and transparency in electoral processes.
