On 16 March 2024, Mr. Ittiporn Boonpracong, the Chairman of the Election Commission and the ECT delegation were welcomed by Mr. Evgeny Tomikhin, the Russian Ambassador to Thailand at the Russian overseas polling stations in Pattaya. The purpose for this visit was to study the Russian overseas election process and to gather insights for the development of the Thai overseas election system. They also exchanged views on the upcoming 2024 Thai Senate Selection at the Pattaya Exhibition and Convention Hall (PEACH), Royal Cliff Hotel Pattaya.
